Agile.

A way of building software in short, iterative cycles with frequent feedback, instead of one long plan.

Agile is an approach to building software that favors short cycles, working software, and adapting to feedback over rigid long-term plans. Rather than spec everything up front and disappear for six months, an agile team ships small increments regularly and adjusts based on what they learn.

In practice this looks like working in short iterations — often called sprints — with a demo at the end of each, so progress is visible and direction can change before you've built the wrong thing.

For founders, agile matters because requirements always change once real users show up. A process built to absorb that change beats one that treats the original plan as sacred.
